The second phase of AG 49 is due to be implemented on March 1, 2016. While these changes do not necessarily require any changes to the actual Indexed Universal Life products, the limitation of “loan arbitrage” to 100 basis points has the potential to change the competitive landscape for any product that utilizes indexed loans.
